I am currently in the process of restoring Ray’s complete discography with new digital transfers. If you are a reissue label interested in the project, please contact me.
You can read about the current status of the restoration project in the blog.
In the 1990s, I made digital transfers of all of Ray’s then-known recordings – these are available for listening and download at archive.org.
With the new round of restoration work, I’ve been able to utilize better equipment and updated software for cleaner sound. In addition, several of Ray’s 78s were from cassette dubs in the previous transfers – I’ve been able to get direct to digital transfers from all of the discs and find cleaner copies of 78s, lp records, and Ray’s 45s. And we’ve found several previously unknown 78 rpm releases by Ray.
Watch this page for upcoming news about the release of the new restorations.
If you’re new to Ray Bourbon and want to get an idea of his style and unique talent, I’d recommend the following tracks at archive.org.
